Eagles Nest II is opening May 1st. Eagles Nest II is more than accommodation... Its our daughters dream, - Sheree Kent. "Experience Paradise right here on Earth" Following in the footsteps of Eagles Nest I, Eagles Nest II offers a variety of wellness and wellbeing facilities in a small, exclusive and secluded location. These features include a gourmet kitchen suitable for high-end cooking and dining experiences, a fireside spa and garden spa experience, a lakeside gazebo, a massage area and wellbeing courtyard, an Asian teahouse experience, a Middle Eastern inspired relaxation and reading loft and more. It will offer customers a 24/7 ultimate lifestyle experience. Eagles Nest II is designed to offer the ultimate escape and privacy for single bookings. During their stay guests get exclusive use of all facilities. The building has been designed with the following holistic goal in mind... "Tasmania on the outside, a global experience on the inside." The buildings general design is open plan and uses glass and contours to give an almost transparent overall appearance. This allows us to bring the outside in, so that from within the building it is the beauty of nature outside that dominates the interior decoration. At the same time our desire is to allow the surrounding nature to dominate the exterior. Color schemes for the exterior reflect natural tones of earth, sky and mountain to blend perfectly with nature and provide the feeling of "being at one with nature". The dimensions and contours of the building have been chosen to reflect the natural lines and shapes of the mountains which dominate the view. Mount Roland was the main inspiration behind the design of the exterior shape. The sloping curved roof from front to back is inspired by the same sloping gradient of Mt. Roland along the top - from the higher reaches at the front to the sloping down to the back of the Mt. Similarly, the layout of the floor plan for the central building is based on two mirrored halves of the frontal view of Mt. Roland. The design also aims to showcase some of the most beautiful scenery on offer in Tasmania so from every vantage point within the building guests can appreciate the beauty beyond the walls. To achieve a 'global experience' within, different rooms will be decorated based on regional design influences. There will be an African inspired bedroom that will combine the angelic feel of sleeping under a big African sky with the ruggedness that is quintessential Africa. Another bedroom will be inspired by Asian influences revealing smooth and clean lines and minimalist decor. The reading loft will show Middle Eastern influences in its layout and decor. The Wellness courtyard will be an area of the building accessible from both outside and within. It will be a place where South American influences meet Turkish Ham am and modern designing. One might eat there, read there, soak up the sun, take a mud wrap, or lounge in a shallow pool of mineral salts. The gourmet kitchen will be a place for those who love to cook and also those who enjoy eating finely prepared food. A well appointed and equipped area nestled in the center of the building. This was an intentional design feature Ð because fine food and dining is central to ones enjoyment of the ultimate lifestyle experience at Eagles Nest II. |
