No, we provide the venue only. We do have recommendations of companies and individuals in the section at the bottom of this page who can provide, marques, catering, celebrants and all your wedding day needs. These recommendations are for companies or individuals who have set up weddings for our guests in the past. We are not in any way affiliated with them.
If you choose our Skyview site then you can pay just the location fee which is variable dependent on the number of guests you are planning on having at your wedding. If you choose one of our 3 retreats as your venue then you need to pay both the location and retreat fee.
We have 4 venue options. There is Skyview our magnificent mountain view field which is a stand alone option. There are also 3 properties, Nest I, Nest II and Nest III each that provide unique venue opportunities. A site visit is probably the best way to determine your favorite! Yes we have been witnesses to such small, intimate events before, and welcome your proposal. The prices for such an event are included in the summary of pricing below.
Numbers greater than 150 guests can be organized by arrangement and a package customized.
Because our accommodation can book out quickly, we advise you booking as much in advance as possible.
We require a 50% deposit to secure your dates. This is based on an estimate of the number of guests you expect to have attending your wedding. The remainder of the fee is payable at the time of the wedding.
Our regular accommodation cancellation policy applies for wedding events too. A cancellation of more than 90 days notice prior to the wedding date will incur a service charge of $50; A cancellation of 15 days to 90 days prior to the date of arrival will incur 20% of full booking price.
A cancellation of less than 15 days prior to the date of arrival will cost the full price of the Retreat Fee portion of your booking.
Eagles Nest Retreat comprises of our 3 stunning accommodation properties Nest I, II & III which are booked out exclusively for accommodation or special events. We also have an events site called Skyview which can be hired for pop up events.
Many honeymooners also choose to stay in our retreats and our sites have been used for small intimate elopements, bespoke receptions, up to larger weddings of 120 or more.
We provide the site only, our guests are responsible for all the remaining details. Eagles Nest Retreat provides a beautiful and unique option for pop up wedding seekers!
Our Wedding Venue Fee is made up of two components a Retreat Fee and a Location Fee. These 2 amounts vary depending on the site and occupancy at the Nest chosen, and the number of guests at the ceremony. Please see below for details.

Additional Fees / Security Deposit & Information
Only small elopement ceremonies of less than 10 people can be held in the retreat buildings. All other popup weddings, ceremonies and receptions require their own marquee and facilities which can be erected on site. It is the responsibility of the wedding group to provide all the amenities and catering that they need, including a porta-loo (for groups larger than 30). Groups smaller than 30 guests can use our onsite facilities but we ask that they use only the bathroom area and refrain from using the rest of the building. A cleaning surcharge of $40 will be required. On the day of the ceremony, the retreat can be used for set up and for the bridal party to do their hair and makeup, a cleaning surcharge of $60 is required. A $200 security deposit is required at the beginning of your booking to ensure no damage to furniture or upholstery and that the living/kitchen area is left as you found it. This is returned to you upon successful inspection of the property following your departure.
